Mr. Willie Mack Williams was born to the late Sadell Williams and Velma Tucker Williams on October 15, 1938, in Nicholsville, Alabama. At an early age, he received Christ at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Nicholsville, Alabama under the leadership of Reverend Bridges. In 1958, he was united in holy matrimony with Lillybell Gamble. To this union four children were born. Willie Williams was employed at Lauren Dean Nursing Home for 30 years in Detroit, Michigan. Later on in life, he moved to Selma, Alabama. He departed his life on May 30, 2022, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters, Thessalonian Williams, Lura Hudson and Emma Butler. He leaves to cherish his memories to eight children: a devoted daughter, Doris Thornton of Selma, AL, Natasha Singleton, Tracy Carter and Willie Mack Williams, Jr. of Detroit, MI, Curtis Williams, Melvin Williams, Linda Williams and Clarence Williams, all of Jetsup, GA; one sister, Mardell Rembert of Sweetwater, AL; two brothers, Jerry Williams of Wilmington, DE, Henry Trice Williams of New Orleans, LA and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
