Ricky O'Neil Griffin

Ricky O’Neil Griffin was born in Camden, Alabama to the late James and Nettie Griffin. He transitioned into the loving arms of the Lord on August 22, 2022, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Ricky joined Saint Wisdom Primitive Baptist in Sweetwater, AL at an early age and remained a faithful member. Ricky was married to Wendy Grayson Griffin. His life will be remembered by his three children, Shermarcus Griffin and Ricondra Griffin of Duncanville, AL and Quinton Griffin of Dixon Mills, AL; seven sisters, Mary (Earnest) Kennedy of Dixons Mills, AL, Bettye (Edgar) Carter of Canton, MI, Janett (Michael) Gonder of Kalamazoo, MI, Janic Carter of Sweetwater, AL, Lucille Griffin Pope and Nancy Rodgers of Mobile, AL and Brenda James of Louisiana; four brothers, Milton Eaton of Houston, TX, Benjamin Griffin, Lee Griffin, and Franklin (Malinda) Griffin, all of Sweetwater, AL; special brother-in-law, Earnest Kennedy; special friends, Carl and Ira Adams, Terry Wayne Agee, Rollins (Bill) Dunning, Brendlyn Adams and Tom Long; six aunts, four uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nephews, other relatives and friends. Fun facts about Ricky: Ricky enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved his family and friends and would call multiple times throughout the day; sociable life full of fun and laughter; greeted you with a smile; his attire wasn’t complete unless he had on his shades, hat, and cologne. He enjoyed listening to music. He was the “jokester” in the family! He constantly teased his sisters and nieces. He NEVER met a stranger and was always a jovial person.
