Obituary
Melvin Carvin “MC” Bouler was born to the late Pinkney and Virginia Bouler on September 15, 1937 in Sweetwater, Alabama. He was united in holy matrimony to Mattie Ella White Bouler. To this union, four amazing children were born: Eric, Darnell, Merilyn, and Melissa. Melvin was a member of St. Wisdom in Dixons Mills, AL and after marriage he joined Rock Babylon Baptist Church. He later moved to Gary Indiana and they both joined St. John Baptist Church where he served on the usher board. He was employed with U. S. Reduction and president of his union until retirement. Melvin had worked on sta at St. John Baptist Church until his passing. He transitioned to eternity on January 4, 2020 at the University of Chicago. He leaves to cherish his memories and celebrate his life: four children. Eric (Ellen) Bouler of Indianapolis, Indiana; Darnell (Vicki) Bouler of Semmes, AL; , and Melissa Bouler of McCalla, AL; three grandsons: LaDon Markel Evan, Elliott Bouler, and Jayden Jones; two granddaughters: Alaigah Bouler and Djatoi Pruitt; one brother: Willie Bouler of Chicago, IL, one sister Dimple (Joseph) White of Gary, IN; several devoted brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Melvin was preceded in death by his daughter Merilyn Bouler, grandson Jonte Barber, and sisters Laura Sharp and Lucille Silmon.
