Mattie Ella Bouler was born to the late Joe and Bertha White in Dixons Mills, Alabama. She was born on March 28, 1938. She confessed christ at an early age and joined Rockbabylon Missionary Baptist Church in Dixons Mills, Alabama.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Melvin Carvin Bouler. To this union, four beautiful children were born: Eric, Darnell, Merilyn, and Melissa. She later moved her membership to St. John Baptist Church.
Mattie was employed as a registered nurse at Methodist Hospital Northlake in which she retired in that field.
She departed this life on March 3, 2020 at Bronson Internal Medicine Hospital Specialists.
Mattie was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Bouler, daughter Merilyn Bouler, grandson Jonte Barber, sister Mertha Mae Burts, two brother-in laws Jim Burts, Galloway Moore, George Sharp, two sister-in laws Lurie Sharp and Marie Silmon .
She leaves to cherish her memories and celebrate her life: 3 children. Eric (Ellen Rose) Bouler of Indianapolis, Indiana; Darnell (Vicki) Bouler of Semmes, AL; and Melissa Bouler of McCalla, AL; three grandsons: LaDon Markel Evan, Santino Elliott Bouler, and Jayden Jones; two granddaughters: Alaigah Bouler and Djatoi Pruitt; one great grandchild: Lauryn Elizabeth Bouler; five brothers: James (Ida) White, George (Carrie) White, Joseph (Dimple) White, Roy (Joyce) White, and Lewis White; two sisters: Bernice Moore, and Thelma Lockett; several devoted friends Bula Horton, and James and Georgia Sims, a brother-in-law Willie Bouler, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
