Mrs. Lydia Mae Rogers Dixon affectionally known as Lit, a native
of Nicholsville, Alabama, a resident of Coosada, Alabama, was born Wednesday, March 15, 1961, to the parentage of the late Mr. Leroy Rogers and Mrs. Daisy Lee Dixon Rogers. She departed this life on May 9, 2023.
At an early age, she joined the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Nicholsville, Alabama. Doing her marriage she joined Star Bethel Primitive Baptist Church, Exmore, Alabama, then relocated to Coosada, Alabama and joined Faith Deliverance Holiness Church, Coosada, Alabama.
Lydia was united in Holy Matrimony to Regionald O’Neal Dixon, Sr., June 3, 1977. To this union two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Leroy Rogers and Mrs. Daisy Lee Dixon Rogers; brother, Dewayne Keith Rogers and grandparents.
She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Regionald O’Neal, Jr. (Mercedes) Dixon of Wetumpka, AL and Rogers O’Neal Dixon of Coosada, AL; one stepson, Shaunta O’Neal (Adrianne) Lewis of Humble, TX; five grandchildren, Keairra Dixon, Keyanna Dixon, Janiyah Dixon, Phillip Dixon and Ava Dixon; two great grands, Zyran Hucherson and Laderain Crayton; three stepgrandchildren, Reginald Green-Lewis, Fauziya Lewis and MaLik Lewis; six sisters, Fannie Mae Moon of Austin, TX, Floreta (William) Sutton of Opelika, AL, Rean Evans (Willie) Blanks of El Paso, TX, Sherry Diane Rogers of Millbrook, AL, Rachel (Timmie) Strait of Linden, AL and Jacqueline Yvette Robinson of Coosada, AL; three brothers, Bishop McKinley (Joann) Rogers, Morris Lynn, Sr. (Cynthia) Rogers, both of Coosada, AL, Gregory O’Neal, Sr. (Danita) Rogers of Thornton, CO; one devoted godson, Larry J. Evans, II; one devoted niece, Sherry Marie Carter; three aunts (one devoted) Louise R. Pruitt of Bonita, CA, Mary Brothers of Nicholsville, AL and Frankie Dixon of Chicago, IL; one uncle, Matthew (Doris) Dixon of Nicholsville, AL; one devoted friend, Bessie Reese and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
