Johnnie Earl Dixon was born January 16, 1959 to Mary V. Brothers. He departed his earthly home on November 17, 2022. Johnnie joined Antioch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He rededicated his life to Christ in 2018.
On November 25, 2003, Johnnie married his long life sweetheart of many years, Gloria Lewis Dixon. Johnnie was a graduate of Marengo High School, Dixon Mills, Al, Class of 1977. He was employed at Scotch Lumber Company from 1977-2010.
Johnnie is preceded in death by his step-father, William Brothers Sr., grandparents Joe and Lula Mae Dixon, Mother-in-law Dorothy Hudson, Father-in-law Thomas Lockett, step-son Shaun Lewis, step-daughter Sharon Lewis, stepson-in-law Lashon Young, sister-in-law Hattie Brown and Brenda Hudson.
Johnnie is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years, Gloria Lewis Dixon, Dixon Mills, Al; Stepchildren, Kimder Lewis, Micah (La’Trice) Lewis, and Latisha Lewis all of Dixon Mills, Al; Mother, Mary V. Brothers, SweetWater,Al; Seven brothers, Marvin Dixon, Coosada, Al; Alfred (Sally) Dixon, Joe Brothers, Sherman (Stacey) Brothers all of SweetWater, Al; William Brothers Jr.,Douglasville, GA; Roderick (Sophia) Brothers, Thomasville,Al & Randall Brothers of Miami, FL; four sisters, Aretha (Felix) O’aku, West Chester, Ohio; Belinda (James) Dubose, Melinda (Linda) Brothers both of Douglasville, Ga; Mary Margaret (Roosevelt) Moore Thomasville, Al, sister-in-law Contina Hudson Stockton, Al brother-in-law Willie James (Annette) Hudson of Atmore, Al. Thirteen step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
