Mr. David Lee Young transitioned to eternity at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, AL on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at the age of 80. David was born March 15, 1940 the oldest of eleven children to Eslie and Nancy Young. David received Christ at an early age and was a member of a Lutheran Church in Bashi, Alabama. Later on, he joined Rockbabylon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Norris J. Pauley. David graduated from Cedar Grove Academy in Prichard, AL. David married the love of his life Ms. Lois Dunning on July 9, 1962 where this union gifted them with two beautiful daughters. While in New York, David was employed with General Motors and later moved his family to Carson, California where he became a licensed contractor. After retiring, David and Lois fulfilled a longtime dream of returning to Dixon Mills, AL. Preceded in death by both parents, Eslie Young and Nancy (Young) Tarvin; stepfather, Johnny Tarvin; and sister, Anne Young. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of fifty-eight years, Lois Young; two daughters, June Hayes and Chandra Fradella both of Anthem, Arizona; two sons-in-law, Arnold Hayes and Anthony Fradella; three grandchildren, Adryien Hayes, Soarra Hayes, and Kiara Celius; five sisters, Dorothy Tate, Alice Lett, Amanda Harris, Johnnie Young, and Mary Woods; four brothers, James Young, Thomas Young, Eddie Young, and Roy Young; three brothers-in-law, Carl Harris, Terry Rogers, and Clemon Dunning; five sisters-in-law, Ruby Young, Dinell Young, Lula Mayhew, Laverne Dunning, and Henrietta Dunning; three god-daughters, Dana Evans, Jennette Johnson, and Christina Brown; one god-son, Anthony Sutherland; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and two special friends, Willie Maye and Richard Grayson. David will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his boisterous laugh and his caring heart for his family and friends.
