Born on August 15, 1940, to the late Mattie Mae Kenndy and Tommie Earl Moore. He attended Marengo High School. He accepted Christ at an early age.
Billy worked at MacMillan Bloedel where he was a Foreman/ Trainer/ Teacher/ Master Mechanic /Detroit Diesel Certified for 35 plus years.
He was the proud owner of Billy's Auto and Diesel Repair in Surginer, Alabama. He was known across several states as one of the best mechanics in the south. There was nothing Billy could not repair. Billy taught his brothers, sons, Willie and Billy Joe as well as numerous young men in the community how to repair cars and diesel engines.
Billy and his wife Ada had a passion for farming. They were known in the community for sharing their corps with their family and friends.
Billy is preceded in death by a loving devoted wife of 40 years Ada M. Moore, Sons Willie and Billy J. Moore, Mother and Father, sister Creola Moore and brother Curtis Gene Moore
He leaves for his cherished memories one devoted daughter Dorothy( Elton)Datcher Harpersville, Alabama and Phillis Moore of Birmingham, Alabama. three sisters: Ollie Woods, of Valdosta, Georgia, Faye Agee of Thomasville, Alabama, Georgia (Tharoplis) Humphreys of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and Flora Jean of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Two Brothers: Johnnie (Mildred) Moore of Surginer, Alabama. Tommie Moore of Kalamazoo, Michigan. 
One devoted cousin Joe Moore, Devoted friends: Paul Coats, Jimmy Edmonds, and Willie James Law, Reginal Williams, Author James Hopkins,
