She would always say, “this was her calling and purpose in life!” Barbara joined the church at an early age and served faith - fully as a member of the Jones Chapel C.M.E. It brought so much joy to her heart knowing that she was serving the Lord and members of the church. There will always be the special memories that each of us will hold close within our hearts regarding our personal re - lationships with her. She was a wonderful and loyal mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. Whether it was travel - ing, working on small projects around the house with her son, Michael Paul, discussing recipes with Cookie and Sydney, go - ing to her doctor appointments or visits with Cousin Ree; we all have a story of how she impacted our lives. And for all of us, we will miss her generosity with the many different cards she sent during the year every year. Her hobbies included reading her bible, traveling, sewing, cooking and gardening, especially her flowers. Barbara was predeceased by her mother, Lucille Lewis; her father, Harvey Lewis; brother, L.V. Lewis; sisters, Lois Allen, Armziel “Maye” Lewis Pritchett and Brenda “Dean” Quinn.
