Mrs. Bernice Harris Ridgeway (Ms. B.), of Thomasville, Alabama, took her place with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, April 14, 2019, in Hoover, Alabama where she resided for the past three years. Ms. B. retired as a nurse from the Thomasville Hospital after serving 25 years. During her marriage to Mr. Eddie Dickinson, they became the parents of Charrise and Channdra Dickinson. Mrs. Ridgeway was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Bonnie Pearl Harris, husband Billy Ridgeway, two brothers James Vernon Harris and Barney Shabazz, and one sister Mildred Parham. Mrs. Ridgeway is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Charrise (Rick) Corder, of Birmingham, AL; Channdra (Eldger) Law of Hoover AL; and grandson, Andrew (Lara) Isom of Vincent, AL. Andrew will always remember Grammie’s life full of laughter,wisdom, and guidance. Also, left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Andrew James Harris of Sweetwater, AL; Hurriel Coleman Harris of Sweetwater, AL; Carter Elmer (Vera) Harris of Thomasville, AL; Elma Von (Henry) Guide of Harker Heights, TX; and Beverly (Barney) Woods of Thomasville, AL. Two uncles Edward (Ida) Carter of Kalamazoo, MI and Andrew Carter, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL. Nieces: Shelia Ann Torrance, Brenadette Frye, Tammy Parham, Charmyn Andrews, Tyffani Frazier, Samietta Harris, and Kenya Wilkin. Nephews: Terry Parham, Hurriel Harris II, Hiram Harris, Quarre Jackson, Quincy Jackson, Lee Woods, and Skyler Woods; several great-nieces and great-nephews. Devoted friends Mrs. Florida Dickinson and Mrs. Bama Washington. Ms. B. will be truly missed by her devoted family and friends
